The stamped steel mesh has a nice rigid feel to it, and the fit on the sub is snug once you use the original trim ring to clamp it down. I was worried about rattles but it’s quiet even at higher volume, definitely worth the money for protection.
Took a chance on this because the stamped steel looks way tougher than the plastic mesh I’ve seen elsewhere, and it locked right onto the trim ring from my subwoofer box without any wobble. The 12-inch size is exact, so there’s no gap letting the cone get dinged.
Fits my Rockford Fosgate Punch P1 perfectly once I dug out the original trim ring, and the stamped steel feels solid enough to actually protect the cone. Took two minutes to snap in place.
