The CAN-bus hookup to my NMEA 2000 network was surprisingly painless, and now I can see engine data right on the same screen as my radio presets. Weather band reception is crystal clear even down in the marina, which is exactly what I needed for this season.
The 2.7-inch display is sharp enough to read the station info from across the cockpit, even in direct sun. Hooked it up to my existing NMEA 2000 system and the CAN-bus integration was way more straightforward than I expected, and the weather band picks up clearer than my old dedicated unit.
