The 16-foot length let me mount the head unit up front and tuck the cable cleanly under the gunwale without any splicing headaches. Fit the PMX-1R perfectly, and the connectors feel solid enough to ignore the vibration when we hit choppy water.
Sixteen feet gives me way more freedom than I thought — finally mounted the head unit up near the helm instead of cramming it down below. Was worried about voltage drop over the length, but it's been running clean all season. Wire feels thick and properly shielded, too.
Wired the PMX-1R to the stern locker without any slack issues, and the 16 feet was just enough to route it cleanly along the gunwale. The connectors clicked in solidly and haven’t budged after a choppy day out. Exactly what I needed for a tidy install.
