That stamped mesh is way sturdier than the plastic covers I've seen, and it fits the 15" perfectly once I dug out the original trim ring. No rattling at all even with the bass cranked up, exactly what I needed to protect the cone.
Finally got the trim ring situation sorted and this mesh locks my 15" driver in place perfectly, no rattling even at high volume. The stamped steel feels way more solid than I expected for the price, and the paint matches the sub's basket well enough that you barely notice it's there.
The stamped steel is noticeably sturdier than the flimsy stock grilles I've seen on other subs, and it clicks into place perfectly once you've got the original trim ring on. Took me two minutes to swap out, and my 15" looks like a proper install now instead of a bare cone staring at me.
