The PMX-CAN interface was plug-and-play with my marine source unit and MFD, and the NMEA2K handshake took less than a minute to lock on. The entertainment data flow is seamless now, no dropouts when switching screens.
The NMEA2K standard connection was the main reason I picked this over other options, and it hooked up to my MFD without any hiccups. The wiring is clearly labeled too, which saved me from a lot of guesswork during installation.
It took maybe ten minutes to get the NMEA2K handshake working with my MFD, and the entertainment data pops up right on the chart screen. The interface itself is compact, so it tucks behind the dash without any cable clutter.
